PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Leadership


  • Academic Instructor.
    • Facilitated introductory ground classes (UNIV 101, GEN ED 195, GEN ED 200) for University of Phoenix (UOP) since 2011 and Management and Leadership courses from 2008-2011.
    • Supervised student success lab providing guidance and instruction for students who were unfamiliar with University of Phoenix procedures or the E-campus website.
    • Facilitated on-line courses since 2000, and taught classroom courses with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University since 2000, in the areas of Leadership and Management, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior, and Ethics in Business.
    • Facilitated courses for Chapman University in the 2000-2004 timeframe Human Resources, Management, and Leadership areas.
  • Instructor, Sylvan Learning Center.  Instructed K1-12 students in areas of  

mathematics, reading, beginning reading, and writing. 

  • Substitute teacher (K1-12), for Kern County, encompassing over 200 school districts.
  • Conducted facilitating and training in the administrative field for the United States Air Force from 1976 to 2001.  Wrote lesson plans and operating manuals and provided hands-on training in areas of records management, mail management, and computer management.
  • Private Tutor for Reading and Mathematics, Learn-It-Systems (K1-12).
  • As Executive Director, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, responsible for the operations of the Extended Campus center.  Responsibilities included academic, administrative, financial, and enrollment management.
  • Currently consultant for “Club Drive”, a highly specialized baseball program in Tucson, Arizona.  I coordinate with the program director on the identification and selection process for these players.  Additionally, I work with the director hiring qualified personnel (primarily current and retired major league baseball players and coaches) who practice with these players and help them to become the best possible players they can be.  I am also the head coach of this specialized team.


Administrative/Office Management

  • Championed administrative policies and procedures for numerous organizations.
    • Established processes for ordering, receiving, and distributing administrative materials and oversaw organizational printing operations.
    • Prepared and executed organizational budgets in excess of $5,000,000.
    • Established requirements, executed, and provided inventory control actions for equipment and supply accounts over $100,000.
    • Designed processes and implemented procedures for processing incoming, and metering outgoing mail, ensuring all security procedures were followed.
    • Composed and administered all requirements for the life cycle of the contract and represented the government as their Quality Assurance Evaluator.
