Mr. Nelson has been a faculty member at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University since 2009. His specific background includes aviation maintenance management, human resource management, data analysis research, and training & education.
During his personal time, Mr. Nelson is actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America and other youth development organizations, and he enjoys running. He is a father to three children and has been married to his wife, Geannette, for 26 years.

Mr. Nelson’s professional career includes more than 25 years of diverse experience in the military, business, and education fields. That time has been split between the U.S. Navy, working for a government program office supporting military helicopters in Maryland, and working for the Honeywell turbine engine manufacturing facility in Arizona.
His pre university teaching career includes two years as a high school instructor.
