Mark  Jahanbin

Shahrooz Mark Jahanbin is an aviation safety advocate and a lifelong learner and educator with a diverse background in design, analysis, quality, and safety. Mark's career began on the shop floor as an aircraft mechanic while he was a student in flight school, training for his Private Pilot License. However, a serious incident shifted his career development path towards the field of safety and accident prevention. Mark Jahanbin holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Aerospace, a Master of Business Administration, and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. He has gained decades of work experience in leading industries, including Boeing in defense and commercial aviation, as well as Leonardo Helicopters, where he held senior engineering and leadership roles, and Space Exploration Technology Corp and Northrup Grumman. Mark is the Deputy Sponsorship Chairman in the International Society of Air Safety Investigators. He takes pride in being a husband and father to two intelligent daughters, with a passion for both art and science. Furthermore, he is a licensed volleyball coach with a remarkable record in competitive youth leagues.
