Lieutenant Colonel Peter Dominicis is the senior aerospace science instructor, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC), at Lowndes High School, Valdosta, Georgia, and teaches aerospace science in the 9th to 12th grades. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami in Florida, a Master of Business Administration from Baker College in Michigan, and is a graduate of the Air War College and the

Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. After graduating from the University of Miami, Lt Col Dominicis attended Air Force Undergraduate Pilot Training at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas, beginning a career that would span 22-years in the United States Air Force and include 2 combat deployments. During that time Dominicis served as an HC-130 and MC-130P aircraft commander, instructor and evaluator pilot, safety officer, budget analyst, English instructor at the Argentine Air Force Academy, inspector general, combat

squadron commander, and deputy group commander. Upon retirement from the Air Force Lt Col Dominicis earned his teaching certification through the Troops to Teachers program at the University of West Florida, becoming certified as a Spanish language teacher. Lt Col Dominicis taught Spanish language at Thomasville High School and the Thomasville Scholars Academy, Thomasville, Georgia, for two years before transferring to Lowndes High School as the AFJROTC senior aerospace science instructor.  He has been teaching classes with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University World Wide as part of the Lowndes HIgh School AFJROTC dual enrollment program since 2019.
