Biography
Dr. Sprague has over 50 years of experience as a statistician and manager, including working and teaching overseas for 20 years for Northrop Grumman Corporation.
He recently finished my Ph.D. (mathematics education), and is intimately familiar with being a student. He also has an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and an MBA and recently completed his 6-Sigma training, obtaining a Certified Six-Sigma Master Black Belt Mentor (CSSBBM).
He has had the privilege of teaching undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students statistics, mathematics and other quantitative courses for over 50 years, and loves doing it. He has been with Embry-Riddle for 35 years, teaching both on-campus (Europe, Asia, California), EV and online, and consider ERAU to be the finest aviation university in the world.
He recently retired from my "day job", now doing what he really loves doing, that is, full-time teaching.
He is a commercial pilot, with Airline Transport Pilot and Glider and Airplane Instructor ratings (CFII; A, I, G. MEL, MES). His wife has her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Budapest, Hungary, and he has two daughters; one is an attorney, the other has her Ph.D. in mathematics.
Dr. Sprague has taught many online and on-campus courses for Embry-Riddle and other universities in Europe, Asia, China, Central America, California and now Florida.
