Stacey M Mumbower


Dr. Stacey Mumbower is an Assistant Professor of Management and Technology in the College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide Campus. She received her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation Systems from Georgia Tech. She also holds an M.S. in Statistics from Georgia Tech’s School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and a B.S. in Mathematics from Valdosta State University. 

Prior to joining Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Dr. Mumbower was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Management Science in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, where she also served as founding Director of the Center for Applied Business Analytics. Before her academic positions, she was a post-doctoral Prevention Effectiveness Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she worked on resource allocation models for HIV prevention funding. She was also previously a statistical analyst and database administrator in the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Office of Transportation Data.

Dr. Mumbower’s research leverages online data to better understand airline pricing and product strategies and how these strategies impact customers, as well as the industry in general. Her research has been published in Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, Journal of Air Transport Management, Transportation Research Record, and Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives
