Biography
Lisa Scott Kollar has been part of the Embry-Riddle family since 1988, beginning as a student before moving into professional roles across Career Services, Corporate Relations/Government Affairs and serving as the Dean of Students. No matter the position, she always valued time in the classroom, teaching as an adjunct professor in both the College of Aviation and the College of Business. That commitment to student engagement ultimately led to her being named the inaugural Assistant Dean of Student Success and Innovation in the College of Aviation.
With a broad base of knowledge and experience, Lisa supports the College of Aviation inside and outside the classroom. She actively engages with students, mentors organizations, helps host distinguished guest speakers, and works closely with the Industry Advisory Board to strengthen connections between students, faculty and industry leaders.
Her many roles at the University have given her the privilege of building strong, lasting relationships with students, alumni and industry partners. An Embry-Riddle graduate herself, she holds a Master of Science in Aeronautics and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science. Known for her energy, transparency and passion for life, Lisa credits her success to integrity and a determination to be a leader who “walks the talk.”
A licensed commercial pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings, Lisa has also represented Embry-Riddle as a recognized aviation career services subject matter expert, frequently quoted in publications and other media outlets.
Her favorite advice to students and colleagues alike: “Always strive to bring your best attitude, work ethic, communication, empathy and humility—these traits will carry you toward success.”
