Biography
Abdurrahman Hacioglu is an adjunct faculty member in the Worldwide College of Aviation. Dr. Hacioglu holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and Middle-East Technical University, respectively. During his career, he worked for the Turkish Air Force, where he held several key positions, including Head of the Aeronautical Engineering Department and Dean of the Faculty at the Turkish Air Force Academy, Director of the Aeronautics and Space Technologies Institute, and Commander of the Air and Space Power Development Center. He has also served as a professor in the Aeronautical Engineering Department at Istanbul Gelisim University.
His research interests include aerodynamic design optimization using heuristic methods such as evolutionary algorithms. His teaching areas encompass fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and computational methods, including finite element analysis.
With over 30 publications in esteemed conferences and journals, Dr. Hacioglu is recognized for his significant contributions to aerodynamic design, optimization, and heuristic design methodologies, including evolutionary algorithms and artificial neural networks.
