Dr. Amy Cicchino is an associate director for the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence where she supports faculty development across Daytona Beach and especially in the David B. O'Maley College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Florida State University and an M.A. degree in English from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Dr. Cicchino specializes in digitally enhanced teaching and learning, high-impact practices, and educator professional development. Her work has appeared in venues such as Across the Disciplines, Research in Online Literacy Education, Journal of Faculty Development, and the International Journal of ePortfolios in addition to numerous edited collections. She is active in professional organizations like the Global Society for Online Literacy Educators (GSOLE), High-Impact Practices (HIPs) in the States, the POD (Professional and Organizational Development) Network, and the Association for Authentic, Experiential, Evidence-Based Learning (AAEEBL).
