Audra R. Sherwood

Dr. Sherwood received her doctoral degree in Management and Finance from Walden University and holds master’s degrees in Economics and Philosophy. She resides in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she teaches remotely and is a passionate and committed academic professional offering more than 20+ years of higher education experience coupled with an 18+ year history of online, blended, and on-ground teaching. Adept at integrating methods of differentiated teaching to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities. Solid background in teaching more than 7,000 students from different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds while overcoming language and cultural barriers. Dr. Sherwood’s research is focused on financial literacy across generations in which she has been a keynote speaker at an international conference in Venice, Italy. She is also active in the National Association of Business Economists and World Economic Association.

​Audra R. Sherwood has over 20 years of online, hybrid, and face-to-face teaching experience. Dr. Sherwood has taught at the University of Wyoming, Wyoming Technical Institution, University of Phoenix, Rasmussen College, National Paralegal College, Grand Canyon University, Southern New Hampshire University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Audra holds a doctorate degree in management and finance and master's degree in philosophy from Walden University and a Master of Science degree in economics from the University of Wyoming. Her dissertation is focused on generations and financial literacy and she is passionate about ways to increase financial literacy among adult learners. She is an accomplished curriculum developer and course designer in Economics at a college level. Audra is a published author of economics for a for-profit K-12 online educational institution. One of Audra’s most recent accomplishments is being recognized as an elite online instructor at a national level by Course Hero. Audra has been actively involved in assessment committee work in the past both at Rasmussen College and Grand Canyon University. Audra’s non-academic interests include reading numerous articles relating to financial literacy and spending time with her dogs and cat. Audra's son (Joshua) passed away tragically over 2 years ago at the age of 22; therefore, she has been on my own since then. Audra has been employed by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for 10-years and is happy to have a place to call home.
