Combustion, Energy generation from nanocomposite energetic materials, Aluminum nanoparticle combustion
Biography
Dr. Dikici obtained both her MSME (2006) and Ph.D.(2010) from Texas Tech University upon receiving her BSME from Gazi University, Turkey (2005). Dr. Dikici’s masters study was on ‘Free pendulum vibration absorbers for flexible structures’ and her Ph.D. specialization is on combustion of nanoparticle thermites which includes both experimental and analytical investigations. Dr. Dikici has numerous journal and conference proceedings on energy generation from nanocomposite energetic materials. She designed various experimental systems and developed several diognastic methods for characterization of Aluminum nanoparticle burning and brought a number of analytical approaches to model energy propagation.
After graduation from Texas Tech University, Dr. Dikici worked as a visiting assistant professor at University of North Florida for a year. Dr. Dikici’s research interests include nanomaterials, combustion, heat diffusion, energy conversion, boiling, solar energy and engineering education.
Dr. Dikici is also ASME student section advisor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She encourages mechanical engineering students to become involved in their ASME student section by arranging activities to stimulate interest in the mechanical engineering profession.
