I am an experienced technology executive with Australian and US post-graduate qualifications and over 30 years of experience in the defence/industry environment conducting biomedical engineering research related to the human orientation sensory system. With Prof John French, I continue the development of a Spatial Disorientation (SD) mishap analysis tool to support mishap investigations, to provide insight into the problem of SD in aviation, and to train aviators to avoid SD mishaps.   I also act as a US Navy, US Army, NTSB, ATSB mishap Subject Matter Expert (SME) analysing military and civilian SD mishaps.

I am a Chartered Biomedical Engineer in the Engineers Australia; a Fellow of Engineers Australia; a QinetiQ Fellow; a member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers; and a certified Sports Medicine Trainer.

CEO of nuCoria Pty Ltd, Canberra, Australia: a medical device spin-out company from the Australian National University focused on commercialising innovative technology for ophthalmological and neurological diseases.

Senior Advisor for Innovation and Commercialisation at the University of Canberra: Provided strategic advice and was responsible for collaborative engagements with government, defence and industry to open up new sources of funding and spun-out the first company from University research.
