Biography
Dr. Hopfe completed his Ph.D. in Aviation Business Administration in 2023 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he also works as a Research Development Coordinator. He facilitates collaborative discussions for both internal and external partners of Embry-Riddle and provides guidance for academic, research and professional development. Past projects include establishing and helping university centers of research with their strategic development initiatives. In addition, he manages internal research seed funding programs, provides proposal/award information related metrics and communicates current funding agency requirements and research administration processes to stakeholders to increase proposal submissions and awards. As the Research Development Coordinator, he assists with sponsor site visits, supports large-scale grant project efforts across multiple academic programs and institutions and establishes strong industry connections with organizations interested in funding research at Embry-Riddle. David has a background in business intelligence, data analytics and data management services. His research and dissertation is focused on predictive analytics, big data analytics, dynamic data and how these metrics can be utilized to estimate economic demand. He is also a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) for project management as well as a Certified Penetration Testing Engineer (CPTE), a Certified Cyber Leader, a Certified Microsoft Professional and holds a National Security Agency (NSA) Information Assurance (IA) certificate, underscoring his commitment to excellence in diverse domains.
