Douglas Evans

Doug and his wife, Carol, relocated to Prescott in the summer of 2018, shortly after the formation of his independent security consulting business. He has completed a 22-year career in the commercial nuclear power industry holding senior positions in engineering, operations, emergency planning and nuclear security at commercial nuclear power plants in California and Illinois. He also held several senior corporate-level oversight positions for nuclear power plants located in Illinois, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In addition, he served as a United States Navy Nuclear Submarine Officer. He also served in the United States Navy Reserve and in his last 5 years served as a Navy Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer for FEMA Region V. He retired as a Captain. His educational credentials include: PhD Organization Development, Benedictine University, Lisle, Illinois (2014); Executive Development Program, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois (1998); MBA Benedictine University, Lisle, Illinois (1998); Naval Nuclear Engineering Officer Program United States Navy (1983); BS Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana (1982). He also holds a current professional engineering license from the State of Illinois and recently completed a CPP (certified protection professional) certification from ASIS International. Doug and his wife enjoy outside recreational activities and are the parents of two grown children, one residing in Southern California and the other in Tennessee.
