Biography
Douglas Mitchell is an adjunct professor in the Applied Aerospace Science Department. He holds a Master of Aeronautical Science (MAS) in Human Factors Aviation Systems from Embry-Riddle and an M.A. in Military History from Norwich University.
Mr. Mitchell served a 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force, flying various aircraft as a navigator and working in aviation-related military acquisition roles. After retiring, he spent many years in the defense aviation industry and holds a professional certification in Program Management.
Currently, he continues to pursue his passion for teaching as the Aviation Department Chair at Nashua Community College, where he supports programs in Aviation Maintenance, Aviation Business and Air Traffic Control.
