Hello and welcome to our class. I am excited to get this course underway and would like to start by telling you a little about myself.

I earned my PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University. I received my Masters degree in Human Resources Management from Troy University followed by my Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. December of 2015 I added the Society for Human Resource Managers – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification. I received my undergraduate degree in Electronics Technology from Norfolk State University.

My career has been lengthy. Starting with my current role, I am a Regional Director for one of those 3 letter government agencies. Prior to this I was a Program Director with the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps. I worked full time as a Professor from 2012 to 2020. Before that I was the Head of HR and Finance at a school for "at risk" youth. And before that…., I served 22 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Human Resources Officer. I want you to be assured that I have relevant experience in all aspects of this course, and I have been teaching courses online since 2008.

My wife and I live in Golden, CO and we have two grown children.

I have prepared a short audio introduction of my professional background. If you would like to view and listen to this short introduction you will need to copy and paste the link below into a new browser window.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYNsc-S_40k

I look forward to getting to know you over the next several weeks.
