Biography
Dr. Lee has 15 years of aerospace experience, including working as a Surface Engineering Expert at Pratt & Whitney, primely responsible for technical support to Pratt & Whitney’s subsidiary companies/business units in Asia. He also worked as a Technical & Marketing Manager, South Asia at Brady Corporation Asia Pte Ltd, responsible for the company’s Engineered Solution products involving high-performance identification products for printed circuit boards, and precision die-cut components for mobile telecommunications devices and hard disk drives, serving industries from aerospace to medical industries.
Dr. Lee did his Ph.D. research work on the topic of "Electrical discharge surface alloying of aerospace alloys" for Rolls-Royce plc, which he later patented and extended to batch repair application on aerospace components.
Some of his achievements include the development of several new products (such as PW4000-112” HPT blades and PW2000 fanblades) and techniques (stellite welding of oilfield seats) to attained commercial values (including five patents) and business development methods that achieved $26M in company revenue in less than a year. Together with these, he has also originated several improvement initiatives in the industries that have led to cost saving and productivity of 300% of the processes.
An efficient problem solver with strong analytical, planning and implementation skills, Dr. Lee is well-balanced with an outgoing personality.
