Hari Adhikari


Dr. Adhikari is currently an Associate Professor of Finance and Risk Management at the David B. O'Maley College of Business, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has taught a wide range of courses in mathematics and finance in different universities in Nepal and in the US including courses in corporate finance, international financial management, Investments, money and banking, engineering economics, life science calculus, and engineering mathematics. He has been recognized for excellence in research receiving " Outstanding Research Award " in 2017 from David B. O'Maley College of Business, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and in teaching receiving “Provost Recognition for Outstanding Teaching” in 2008 and “Outstanding Teaching Award” in 2007 while teaching as a primary instructor at the University of South Florida, Tampa.

Adhikari’s research interests are aviation finance, ownership structures, mergers and acquisitions, CEO compensation, corporate governance, and behavioral finance. His work has been published or accepted for publication in journals such as Accounting and FinanceReview of Quantitative Finance and AccountingJournal of Behavioral Finance, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, and Journal of Economics and Business.  His research articles have been presented at over a dozen domestic and international conferences. He has also co-authored three books “Engineering Mathematics I”, “Engineering Mathematics II” and “Business Mathematics” which different universities and institutions in Nepal use as textbooks.

Adhikari earned a Ph.D. in finance and an M.A. in mathematics from the University of South Florida, Tampa, and M.Sc.in mathematics and B.Sc. in physics and mathematics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal.
