Served 26 years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy, with operational and leadership assignments aboard multiple cruisers and destroyers, including deployments in support of Operations Southern Watch, Active Endeavor, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom, as well as multinational maritime security and anti-piracy operations. Roles included strike, air warfare, operations, training, weapons, and combat systems leadership, complemented by joint and interagency shore assignments with U.S. Central Command, U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command, Afloat Training Group Mayport, U.S. Liaison Office in Abu Dhabi, and Port Liaison Element Jebel Ali, Dubai.
