Biography
Dr. Jayendra Gokhale is Associate Professor at the College of Business at the Daytona Beach Campus of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics at Oregon State University.
His areas of research are Financial Economics, Industrial Organization and applied Micro‐econometrics. He has taught Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, International Economics, Corporate Finance and Econometrics.
He has worked for the Finance and Treasury Divisions of General Electric and Axis Bank (India).
He completed his MBA in Finance at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
His undergraduate major is in Biochemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology,Delhi.
Jayendra has published in International Journal of Economics and Accounting, Journal of International Finance and Economics, Journal of Wine Economics, International Journal of Economics and Finance, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and the Journal of Behavioral Finance. His research interests are in industry research, event studies in aviation and non‐aviation, new techniques to determine noise trading in financial markets and motion pictures.
Jayendra is currently a member of American Economic Association and Southern Economic Association. Jayendra is on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Economics and Finance, Applied Finance and Accounting, Asian Journal of Arts and Social Sciences and the International Interdisciplinary Business-Economics Advancement Journal.
