Dr. Jeff Johnson is an associate professor of aviation safety and Program Coordinator for the BSAS undergraduate program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) College of Aviation - Worldwide. He has over 30 years of aviation teaching and industry experience. He has taught at several colleges and universities for over 15 years. His flight experience includes flight instruction, cargo, corporate, and regional airline flying. He has industry maintenance experience working on general aviation, regional, and corporate aircraft. Dr. Johnson was also an airline ground instructor and more recently, an aviation maintenance instructor.

Dr. Johnson has many years of political experience having served on a city council for eight years and on a county board of adjustment for one year. As a former city councilmember, he worked with the airport manager on various projects from AIP funding to marketing. He is also an inventor holding a U.S. patent.
