Jena Lynch

​Jena Lynch is an assistant professor of the Practice and Curriculum Coordinator for the Worldwide Department of Aviation English. Ms. Lynch holds an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from Northern Arizona University. She is currently pursuing an M.S. in Leadership from Embry-Riddle. Ms. Lynch has experience teaching in universities in Turkey and Thailand.

In her current role, Ms. Lynch focuses on language program administration for a large online Aviation English program with hundreds of students each year. Her interests in this area include cross-cultural leadership and communication, as well as the creation of systems and processes to facilitate student progression through the program. As a teacher and curriculum developer, Ms. Lynch specializes in English pronunciation and vocabulary instruction.

Ms. Lynch’s most recent published work focuses on the benefits of a partnership approach between client and provider when developing and delivering Aviation English training. Since 2017, Ms. Lynch has made contributions to the development of Aviation English at Embry-Riddle, including leading the development of the English for Flight Training Assessment (EFTA), training and supporting a team of online Aviation English instructors, and developing materials used by 1000s of operational air traffic controllers in South America.
