  • Dr. Jill List is a worldwide adjunct assistant professor in the Mathematics Department whose research interests focus on methodology at the intersection of human behavior, technology, and organizational dynamics. Dr. List's work emphasizes the development and refinement of research methodologies to explore how individuals interact with systems in professional and digital environments. Her interdisciplinary research spans areas such as emotional intelligence, leadership development, workplace incivility, data security, and privacy perceptions, with a strong focus on rigorous methodological approaches.

    Dr. List is particularly interested in employing qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research to investigate the role of emotional intelligence in leadership effectiveness and job satisfaction. Her research includes designing robust frameworks to analyze how emotionally intelligent behaviors foster inclusive, productive, and satisfying workplace environments. Additionally, her methodological work addresses the impact of negative workplace dynamics—such as bullying, incivility, and violence—on employees’ professional performance and well-being, particularly in high-stress sectors like healthcare and financial services.
