Biography
My name is Dr. Jordan Potter. I have a background in philosophy and applied ethics, specifically bioethics, and I have numerous years of experience teaching within philosophy, especially in ethics. In addition to my role as adjunct faculty here at Embry-Riddle, I am also a Clinical Ethicist and Fellowship Supervisor at Wellstar Health System in Atlanta, Georgia, where I perform clinical ethics consultations, teach ethics to healthcare professionals, and complete bioethics research. I received my Ph.D. in Healthcare Ethics from Duquesne University, and after that I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in advanced bioethics from the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. On a personal note, I am married with three wonderful children: an eleven year old stepdaughter, a six year old son, and a four year old son. I am also a major basketball fan (GO CELTICS!) and am in year 5 of writing a fantasy novel that is seemingly never going to be finished.
