Joseph Sobieralski

Dr. Joseph Sobieralski is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management in the College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Illinois University, a Master’s in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University.  He holds a SHRM-CP certification and People Analytics Specialty Credential from the Society for Human Resource Management.  He possesses an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with airplane single and multi-engine and instrument ratings.  He also holds a type rating in the Boeing 737.

Prior to joining Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Dr. Sobieralski was an Assistant Professor of Aviation Management in the School of Aviation and Transportation at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.  He has also served as an executive board member for an AFT Local Union and currently serves as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
