Biography
Dr. Kathleen Irwin earned her Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University. In addition to a concentration in Electronic Commerce, she has graduate clusters in Accounting, Finance and Management. Dr. Irwin has taught graduate and undergraduate courses for the past 11 years. She began her undergraduate degree at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC, but transferred to UNC Wilmington after marrying her husband in 1988, graduating with her B.S. degree in 1990. Dr. Irwin moved back to Hickory and worked in management until returning to school in 1995. She attended UNC Charlotte to finish her MBA degree in 1998. Later, she completed her Ph.D. online while maintaining a home life and a full-time job. Her goal when teaching is to assist students in gaining the skills and confidence needed to be successful both in the content area and in life.
