Biography
Professor Keith Turner is the director of the Aerospace Career Academy Dual Enrollment program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. With a strong background in aviation education and workforce development, he leads initiatives that provide high school students with access to college-level aerospace and engineering courses. His work focuses on expanding STEM opportunities, fostering industry partnerships and preparing the next generation of aviation and aerospace professionals. Through his leadership, the program equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in higher education and careers in aerospace, engineering and related fields.
Professor Turner’s previous experience with the Department of Defense in a multitude of roles, the last one before retirement being as a Senior Operations Manager, provided coordination of all training for senior-level leaders and their support staff. Turner spent time building yearly training plans and monthly training schedules, creating training outlines for scheduled training and monitoring training for compliance and accuracy, overseeing all financial and logistical activity within the organization, coordinating public affairs activities throughout the state of Florida and supervising a staff of seven Active Duty Guardsmen and two Federal Technicians.
Professor Turner is a two-time graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, once from the College of Aviation and once from the College of Business, culminating with a master’s degree. He currently holds multiple FAA certifications including Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, Advanced Ground Instructor and Part 107 Pilot certification and currently teaches multiple courses for the Gaetz Aerospace Career Academy.
