Dr. Kranthi Kumar Deveerasetty is a Research Assistant Professor at the Eagle Flight Research Center at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida. He has extensive international experience, having served as a Specially Appointed Researcher in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Info-communications Engineering at Osaka University, Japan, from January 2023 to March 2024. Before that, he was a Research Associate at Kochi University of Technology, Japan, from January 2020 to December 2022 and a post-doctoral fellow at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from August 2017 to November 2019.

Dr. Deveerasetty obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from Andhra University in 2008 and an M. Tech from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi in 2010. He completed his Ph.D. in Control Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi in 2016. His research interests include flight control design for uncrewed aerial vehicles, model order reduction, stability of interval systems, machine learning and sliding mode control.

Dr. Deveerasetty is an academic editor for the PLOS ONE journal and an associate editor for Measurement and Control at SAGE. He is also a Technical Committee Member for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Vertical and Short Take-off and Landing Aircraft Systems (also known as the AIAA V/STOL ASTC or simply the V/STOL TC).
