Md Amzad Hossain

Dr. Md. Amzad Hossain has received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Center for Space Exploration and Technology Research (cSETR), Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), USA in 2020. During his Ph.D., he has conducted fundamental research on High-speed combustion using the experimental (PLIF) and computational approaches. Dr. Hossain also loves to conduct research on Energy Recovery Exchangers for HVAC Applications. He is interested to develop some bio-desiccants or enhancing the effectiveness of commercial desiccants for Energy Wheel. Dr. Hossain is also researching Airfoil and Automobile Aerodynamics using various active and passive flow separation techniques. Dr. Hossain has received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from one of the top leading engineering universities in Bangladesh called “Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET)” in 2013 and 2011 respectively.

Dr. Hossain has very good university-level teaching experience. He has joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, USA in Spring 2021. Before this, Dr. Hossain has served as an Instructor/Lecturer (full-time) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Memphis in Fall 2020. Dr. Hossain has also served as an Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) (2014-2016) and as a Lecturer (2012-2014) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh.  Apart from teaching, research and service, during the leisure period, Dr. Hossain loves to travel, hang out with friends, and cook.
