Muhammad Hameed

Dr. Muhammad Hameed is a professor of mathematics with over 19 years of university-level teaching experience, specializing in applied mathematics and mathematical modeling. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from Rutgers–New Jersey Institute of Technology and completed postdoctoral research at the Benjamin Levich Institute for Physico-Chemical Hydrodynamics, The City College of CUNY, New York. His research focuses on fluid dynamics, surface-tension-driven flows, the study of bio-fluids and numerical simulations.

Before joining Embry-Riddle, Dr. Hameed served at the University of South Carolina Upstate, where he held multiple academic ranks, including full professor and assistant chair. He led curriculum development for the mathematics major, coordinated gateway courses and introduced innovative classroom models such as flipped instruction and experiential learning. He also developed several new courses, including those in MATLAB programming and real-world applications of mathematics by incorporating technology in mathematics instruction.

At ERAU Worldwide, Dr. Hameed brings his deep background in applied mathematics and dedication to student engagement to support learners across various disciplines.
