Biography
Dr. Peng Li is an assistant professor in the Department of Management, Marketing and Operations at the David B. O’Maley College of Business. Prior to this role, he served as a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Marketing, Management and Supply Chain at the Woody Hunt College of Business, University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).
Dr. Li holds dual Ph.D. degrees with one in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and another in Supply Chain Management with a minor in Statistics from Rutgers Business School. His interdisciplinary academic background bridges engineering and business, equipping him with a unique perspective to tackle complex challenges in supply chain systems and operations management.
Dr. Li has published over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles in the fields of supply chain management, logistics, transportation engineering and operations management. His research interests lie at the intersection of stochastic optimization, queueing theory, mechanism design, machine learning and sustainability in logistics and transportation systems. He is particularly focused on addressing real-world operational problems such as scarce resource allocation, resilient logistics design and the optimization of electric vehicle battery swapping (EVBS) networks.
