I served 20 years as a Navy pilot before retiring at the rank of Commander (O-5) in 2007.  I flew nine different fixed-wing aircraft types during my service.  I hold an FAA commercial pilot certificate with single & multi-engine land ratings and the B-707 & B-720 type ratings.

I have held multiple organizational leadership, management, administrative, and operational positions in aviation and non-aviation, public- and private-sector organizations.

Interests
Soccer fanatic (NCAA (1983-87) & NASL (1981-82)), fishing, hunting.

Using statistical demographic diversity profile clusters to compare levels of perceived public entrepreneurship in a Midwest state government agency's work groups (Doctoral dissertation).  Available from ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global. (1535101553).  Dissertation proposed and tested a statistical work group classification algorithm to overcome the chronic problems that have plagued group phenomena research for more than 80 years.

Dodge, R. N. (1999).  The Use of Internet Technology in Navy Recruiting: The Online Recruiting Station (ORS) (Master’s thesis).  Available from Calhoun, http://hdl.handle.net/10945/13598.  Award-winning thesis proposed a visionary Web-centric recruitment marketing strategy that revolutionized the way that the military services competed for scarce human resources in the 21st Century.  Allocated more than $90 Million in Congressional funding to implement thesis concepts for the US Navy.

(2001 – 2010).  Conceived and led the development of the ground-breaking site that became the model for all military service websites.  Featuring theory-based, innovative vocational tools, such as The Life Accelerator, the site won numerous advertising industry awards for reaching target audiences (16-24 year olds; HS diploma graduates; Bachelor degree graduates, influencers).

ElNavy.com.  (2001 – 2010).  Proposed the concept and led the development of the military’s first-ever website designed to accommodate Hispanic influencers.
