DR. ROBIN A. ROBERTS

Dr. Roberts is an educator and human resource practitioner with over 40 years of experience in organizational development. She specializes in customizing and designing programs and services in training and development with a primary focus on leadership, diversity, equity ,and inclusion, organizational socialization and membership, cross-cultural communication, and career progress. She has spent the last 17years pioneering research and technology that enhances human energy and performance and leverages psychological safety. 

In 2013, Dr. Roberts co-created a new business model called the Human Utility Business™ model that uses quantitative and qualitative data for organizational leaders to view how their stakeholders collectively expend time, energy, and emotions to thrive. Included with the business model is a static and portable virtual lab depicting in 3D scenarios for participants to become virtually immersed into spaces where they can explore behaviors impacting diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

Dr. Roberts currently works as an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), Worldwide on-line campus. She teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in leadership, management, and human resources. Formerly, Dr. Roberts served as the Director of the ERAU Leadership Institute which she designed to assist faculty and staff with increasing their leadership potential and career mobility. Prior to that, Dr. Roberts was the Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the ERAU Daytona Beach campus where she and her team facilitated workshops and programs specializing in teaching equitable actions that lead to inclusivity on campus, within communities, and in the workplace. Dr. Roberts is committed to leveraging the message of humanizing the workplace by helping people to learn how to work in human ways.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, a Master of Arts in Organizational Management, and a Doctor of Management with a concentration in Organizational Leadership at the University of Phoenix. She also received a certificate, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Roberts is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, a certified professional coach, and certified emotional intelligence and psychological safety facilitator.
