I have been teaching for close to twenty years. I attended Cal State Northridge and Chico State, receiving a BA and MA in English. Over the years, I have taught at the Elementary, Junior High, High School, Community and State College levels.  I have enjoyed teaching a wide variety of subjects, from World Literature to Mythology to English Composition.

In addition to these educational pursuits, I have worked as a newspaper reporter, magazine editor and songwriter, as well as a writing consultant in the private sector. I am also a published author in the science fiction genre.

Currently, I am pursuing my PHD, as well as writing a biography about an ex-con turned college professor; the book is scheduled to be released this fall. I truly enjoy the art of composition, and I look forward to sharing this passion with my students! Together, I know we can make this an excellent term.

Bryant and Stratton College, Buffalo, NY.

Teach online English courses to students from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Implement campus procedures and methodology in a smooth and efficient manner. Resolve conflicts with a host of adult learners, many of which are returning to school after a long period of time.

Taught English courses ranging from basic composition to world literature. Worked with students from all age brackets and cultural backgrounds. Organized and implemented course objectives to produce a successful learning environment.

  • Named a Retention All-Star for Bryan and Stratton College (September of 2015), achieving the highest retention rate of all English instructors.
  • Received a letter of appreciation in conjunction with my participation in the 2015 EAGLET writing center pilot project for Embry-Riddle University.
