Samantha Bowyer

Samantha Bowyer moved to Florida shortly after high school to pursue her passion for aviation. After completing her accelerated flight program she went on to complete her undergrad in Business Management and then her MBA with a Specialization in Project Management. Ms. Bowyer is a certified Project Management Professional. She is also a certified flight instructor in airplanes single- and multi- engine, including an instrument rating with over 10 years of experience.

Early in her career she gained experience writing 142 curriculum working closely with her Chief Flight Instructor and the FSDO. While residing in Jacksonville, FL Ms. Bowyer was the 141 Assistant Chief Flight Instructor of a flight school responsible for all interactions with TSA, FSDO, ICE, and SEVIS. Ms. Bowyer has experience running an aerospace academy at a public Florida high school. In her tenure at the high school, she built the 4-year course program and much of the curriculum while working with the Gatez Aerospace Institute of ERAU. Her project management background proved relevant in the classroom, especially as her program took on the task of building an RV-12 at the high school.

In 2018 she joined ERAU's Aeronautical Science Department and is now pursuing her Doctorate of Business Administration in Project Management. Her research focus is on using project skills to improve curriculum and program development of aviation programs.

Outside of Riddle Samantha enjoys taking her 2 kids to the park, kayaking, flying her Cherokee 180, and road biking the Ormond Loop!
