Scott Montgomery Martin

Dr. Scott Martin is a professor in the Aerospace Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.  He received a BS and MS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering all from the University of Washington.  Dr. Martin did a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Center for Turbulence Research at Stanford University.  His specialties are Combustion Science and Airworthiness Engineering.  Dr. Martin’s research interests are in gas turbine, scramjet and rocket combustion and plume modeling.  Prior to joining ERAU Dr. Martin was a Combustion Scientist at Siemens Energy in Orlando, Florida and an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida.  He has also worked for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan and The Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington.  His hobbies are flying, he is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor for single engine airplanes and instruments and attending car events with his 4 Italian sports cars.
