Shanon Merriman is currently a Quality Assurance Specialist with DCMA at Sikorsky in Stratford, CT. He was a manager at Pratt and Whitney in Middletown, CT for 3 years.  He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 2017.  He has over 20 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.  His varied career in aircraft maintenance included flightline, aero repair, isochronal inspection, Home station check, wheel and tire shop and the Tool Room. He holds a Master of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics with minors in Aviation Safety and Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  He completed his Airframe and Powerplant license from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as well as his General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL) from the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) in 2012 at the American Airman Ground School, New York.
