Dr. Snezhana Zheltoukhova has been teaching Russian as a world language since graduating from Moscow (Lomonosov) State University. Over the course of a decade, she taught Russian language and culture at institutions including Carleton College, Pomona College, Beloit College, the University of Missouri-Columbia, Indiana University Bloomington and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Since 2017, Dr. Zheltoukhova has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian and Director of the Language Commons. Her research focuses on second language acquisition and pedagogy, with particular interests in world language tutoring, discourse and interaction analysis, sociocultural theory and technology-mediated language learning.
