I have been an aerospace engineer and an educator throughout my professional life. I completed an Air Force career as a research officer developing such weapon systems as advanced turbine engines and missile technology programs. In my civilian career, I worked for Computer Science Corporation on the C-17 test program and for the Boeing Corporation on the Space Shuttle Program and the Ground Based Missile Defense Program. I have been an adjunct professor with various universities for over thirty-five  years. I have taught math, physics and management at the undergraduate level and business administration, math and engineering at the graduate level. I was also an Onsite Dean in Irvine California for a university back east. My basic teaching philosophy is to treat students fairly and with empathy while adhering to necessary academic standards. I have developed these approaches from my own personal experiences as a student and the years I have spent as an educator.
