Ted C. Frederick


Theodore C. Frederick is an adjunct professor on the Worldwide Campus, teaching macro and microeconomics. Frederick is a member of the American Economic Association and holds an M.S. in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Economics from Western Michigan University. He has taught at several universities, including Georgetown Law and Western International. His publications include a textbook on law firm management and numerous educational and financial software programs. He has written six children's books, a poetry book and four novels. 

He is currently the president and CEO of the American Charter Schools Foundation, which owns and governs twenty-eight charter schools in Arizona. He previously worked in various senior positions with the Leona Group, the largest school management company in the United States. He has extensive experience both as an entrepreneur and in government service. He founded a company specializing in integrating computer systems and developing educational software. During his military career, Frederick held a series of commands, was comptroller for a multibillion-dollar military project known as “Star Wars,” served in Vietnam and served at the Pentagon on the Army General Staff (in the Operations Department).
