Biography
Dr. Yizhou Jiang earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, along with an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Illinois Chicago. Before joining ERAU, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at the University of Southern California.
The mission of the Jiang Lab at ERAU is to advance the frontiers of science and technology at the intersection of materials and manufacturing to address grand challenges in structural design and engineering. Our research integrates expertise in mechanics, materials science, and advanced manufacturing to foster innovation across multiple scales and environments. Current efforts focus on innovative space-based manufacturing and design, functional material development for next-generation manufacturing, and analytical and numerical methods for modeling, understanding, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
