Areas of Expertise

Logistics, Management, Project Management

I have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut obtained in 1980 and an MSEE and an MBA from Syracuse University obtained in 1983 and 1989. I received my Doctor of Science in Management Systems from the University of New Haven in 2000.

I have worked in the Aerospace industry for over 40 years, first, as a design engineer at GE Aerospace, and then as a manager (people and projects) at both GE in various locations and Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, in Stratford, Connecticut, USA. Currently, I am a manager of a small group of engineers in Preliminary Design Engineering at Sikorsky where we are responsible for responding to customer proposal requests from all over the world. Previously I was the Manager of Commercial Customer Support with responsibility for over 150 global customers and 800 aircraft and the associated logistics. I have also worked at Sikorsky as a Program Manager for Naval Helicopters and was responsible for managing project resources to complete U.S. Navy and International Navy helicopter programs on schedule and within cost constraints.

I have been an adjunct professor at various universities since the late 1990’s in the areas of Marketing, Logistics, Organizational Behavior, Business Ethics and Strategic Management.

When I am not working, I enjoy bike riding and gardening in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter.  I also like spoiling my pet kitties.  I have traveled all over the world for my work at Sikorsky and enjoy learning about other cultures.
